The Port secured the City Board’s positive advance position on the Port’s development programme, and planning for the centralisation of ship traffic continued at full speed. At the end of the year, the Port renewed itsstrategy, which, together with the development programme, gives clear guidelines for profitable and sustainable growth.

Performance showed an upward turn ›

The company’s turnover was EUR 89.4 million. The Port’s result remained negative even though the development was very positive compared to the previous year.

More cargo than ever before ›

A total of 15.2 million tonnes of goods were transported via the Port of Helsinki group. This surpassed the previous record by a clear margin, and the volume grew more than the market at large.

Ship travel doubled ›

The total number of passengers at the Port of Helsinki was 8.1 million, doubling from the previous year. Ship travel is bouncing back well after the pandemic.

The Port improved its onshore power supply and energy efficiency ›

The Port of Helsinki set an even tighter timetable for its carbon neutrality goals. At the same time, actions were taken to pursue the objectives, the most significant of which was the completion of onshore power connections on West Terminal 2 for liner traffic vessels.

Promoting occupational well-being ›

The occupational well-being development plan was promoted: the principles of management defined and the management promises summarized. A job satisfaction survey showed that there was a clear improvement in the things that matter most to the Port’s employees in their work.
